KKR to Bring Back Iconic 2008 Black and Gold Jersey for IPL 2025

Kolkata Knight Riders is all set to begin its 2025 IPL Campaign on March 22 against RCB at the home grounds of Eden Gardens. Coming with fresh and new changes in the squad the team is coming with high expectations and a squad of new players. Besides the squad changes the team is also likely to get back to their old vintage gold and black jersey for the IPL 2025 season.

The internet is filled with rumors of teams returning with the old and vintage kit for the season in which the new Purple jersey will be adapted for the home matches and the old Black and gold jersey will be adapted for the home away matches. Although these are mere rumors and no official confirmation is there around the team’s vintage jersey.

Will it be two different Jersey for KKR in IPL 2025?

All the doubts and questions around the Old vintage jersey started when photos of KKR players including one of Rinku Singh went viral on the internet. Seeing Rinku in the old attire fans started speculating the reason behind him wearing the old jersey from the 2008 IPL.

KKR started its IPL debut with black and gold jerseys for the starting two seasons but when things didn’t fall in the franchise’s favor they shifted to the present purple jersey of the team in 2011. With the new purple jersey, the team won three titles and then had a good season.

But now the player’s photos in the old jerseys have started another talk that the team might think of trying the old jerseys once again.

Players like Manish Pandey and Rinku Singh were seen in the old jerseys in the pictures of the photoshoots. Although the handles that released the pictures aren’t any official handles of the players or the team. And all this seems just another rumor without any official team statement over the new jersey. As of now, the teams are practicing with the purple jersey in the net sessions and there is no change in the official getup of the team.
