IPL 2025 DC vs SRH Highlights: Mitchell Starc’s fifer, Faf du Plessis’ fifty lead DC to second win

Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets in match no. 10 of the IPL 2025.

The 10th match of the IPL 2025 concluded with Delhi Capitals defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets at Visakhapatnam, thanks to Mitchell Starc’s fifer, Kuldeep Yadav’s three wickets, and Faf du Plessis’s attacking fifty. With this victory, Delhi Capitals climbed to the 2nd position in the points table with two wins in two matches.

While batting first, SRH put up a total of 163 in 20 overs, thanks to an amazing 74-run inning from Aniket Verma and a counterattacking 32-run knock from Heinrich Klaasen. However, Delhi Capitals chased down the target quite comprehensively, thanks to fifty from Faf du Plessis and good knocks from Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel.

IPL 2025 DC vs SRH Highlights

Pat Cummins, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, won the toss in Visakhapatnam and elected to bat first against Delhi Capitals. However, this time, the template of SRH’s batting field was lost as they lost three early wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Nitish Kumar Reddy under the powerplay.

Travis Head also managed to put up only 22 runs before Mitchell Starc got him. Then the young Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen give some counterpunches. Heinrich Klaasen scored 32 runs off 19 balls before a stunner by Vipraj got him, and Aniket smashed 74 runs off 41 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes. Thanks to his inning, SRH put up a total of 163 in 20 overs.

Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk come out to open for Delhi Capitals. Faf took charge and gave a flying start to DC, while JFM was struggling to connect well. The paid has almost made the game one-sided with their batting.

Faf got out to debutant Zeeshan Ansari on 50 runs off 27 balls, and in the same over, the spinner got Jake Fraser McGurk on 38. Ansari also took the wicket of KL Rahul in his next over on 15. However, DC won the match in the end with finishing touches of Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs by 7 wickets.
