The Indian Premier League is underway, and Match 6 of the league is scheduled between RR and KKR at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Losing their opening match against their respective opponents, both RR and KKR are against one another and are looking for a win in their favor to add those two winning points to the IPL points table standings.

Match 6 toss took place at 7:00 PM on the Guwahati stadium, winning the toss, Ajinkya Rahane‘s led team opted to field, allowing the Royals to open on the crease. Both teams have made significant changes to their teams, where Kolkata opted for Moeen Ali, replacing Sunil Narine, whereas the Royals took Wanindu Hasaranga in the playing XI, allowing  Farooqi to step out of the playing squad.

Narine’s replacement has raised eyebrows as he has been an impactful player and now fans are speculating why the team opted him out of the Playing XI.

Why Sunil Narine is not part of Playing XI against RR

Suni Narine, who has been making waves with his performances in the team, was excluded from the highly thrilling encounter. But this time it’s not his performance that’s been dropped but it’s the health of the player. The team management excluded Narine from the playing XI as the batter is unwell at the moment and as a precautionary measure for upcoming matches.

After winning the toss, when asked about changes in the playing XI, Captain Ajinkya announced that they are moving with one change in the squad, he stated that Narine is feeling unwell and English all-rounder Moeen Ali will replace him in the playing XI.

The team hopes for the player’s speedy recovery as he is a major impactful player who has been instrumental in KKR Last season. He not only gives explosive starts with his bat but also takes wickets whenever needed for the team.
