Playing the match at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, Priyash played an unbelievable yet impressive knock.

He was unstoppable and scored a 39-ball century against Chennai Super Kings and the fastest half-century for just 19 balls. Hitting a century, he became the fourth player to hit the fastest fifty in IPL history off 39 balls and became the 14th Punjab Kings batter to score a hundred in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Priyansh’s century was the second fastest by an Indian in the IPL, only behind Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball effort for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians in 2010. It was the fourth match of his IPL career, and he scored 103 runs off 42 deliveries, comprising seven fours and nine sixes.

Priyansh Arya is a talented batsman from Delhi who was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 3.8 crore in the IPL mega auction. He grabbed attention in the Delhi Premier League, where he smashed six sixes in an over for South Delhi Superstarz against North Delhi Strikers.

The 24 year old batter is known for his explosive batting style and has had a significant impact in domestic cricket, particularly in the Delhi Premier League. He has played a total of 21 T20 games alongside seven List A encounters in his fledgling career thus far. In the shortest format, he has scored 628 runs at an average and strike rate of 31.40 and 166.57 respectively, on the back of three 50+ scores and two tons already.

Priyansh also had an impressive season in the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He stood out as Delhi’s leading run-scorer, accumulating 222 runs across seven innings at an average of 31.71 and an impressive strike rate of 166.91. Despite being shortlisted for the IPL 2024 auction, Priyansh remained unsold.
