Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli known for his on field expressions was once again caught by cameras. In a dramatic thriller against MI, Kohli was spotted throwing his cap after Yash Dayal and Jitesh Sharma misjudged a catch opportunity. The incident occurred in the ongoing IPL 2025 season, where RCB was up against Mumbai Indians at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

Yash Dayal bowled a back-of-the-hand delivery to Suryakumar Yadav, which he mistimed and hit it for an air shot. The ball was in the air for a while, and Yash Dayal ran to catch but caught in confusion with the Wicket keeper Jitesh Sharma. Failing to communicate clearly, the duo collided and missed the opportunity, dropping the catch.

The moment didn’t sit well with former captain Kohli, who threw his cap on the field in frustration, clearly disappointed by an avoidable mix-up. However, the loss was recovered shortly when Yash Dayal dismissed SKY on his last delivery of the 12th over spell.

Although that confusing catch didn’t cost RCB much, it was Kohli’s reaction that caught the attention of the fans. Here is the video of how Kohli reacted to the confusing catch of the duo.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru bounce back with a 12-run victory

RCB, riding high on confidence this season, faced a setback after losing a close encounter at their home grounds. However,  heading into the clash against the Mumbai Indians, the team’s intent was clear that they were here to dominate and win.

Batting first, RCB posted a strong total of 205 runs on the scoreboard with fiery knocks from Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli, and captain Rajat Patidar. Taking control early, the RCB bowler took charge, dismissing MI’s top batters during the powerplay. But the match took a dramatic turn when MI captain Hardik walked in and built a strong partnership with Tilak Varma, putting pressure back on RCB.

Despite the fightback, RCB took charge of innings and finished the match with a 12 run victory over Mumbai Indians at their own fortress Wankhede Stadium. With this win, RCB broke a 10-year curse, marking their first triumph over MI at Wankhede in a decade.
