Tim David flourished in the last two overs of the RCB innings and led the team to post a fighting score on the board. It was a strange kind of innings, RCB started strong with Phil Salt and Kohli’s fiery opening batting, but then lost wicket of Phil Salt as run out, further leading the team to a slower innings later.
Paddikal didn’t get going at all and fell to Mukesh, who also bowled a wicket maiden. Vipraj Nigam got rid of Kohli just after the powerplay, and things stagnated for the hosts. The hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals and couldn’t inject any kind of momentum into their innings. They only managed to score 66 off 86 balls after 7 wickets after a blazing start to the innings. After 7 wickets, Tim David came to the crease and gave RCB some hope with his fiery 37 off 20 Balls.

RCB started impressively but then fell short with changes in runs on board. They got off to a flier but fell away completely after Salt’s dismissal, but managed to go past 160 on a slightly two-paced surface. It was one of those nights when Salt was looking invincible. He was striking the ball beautifully, but an error in judgment between him and Kohli resulted in his run-out. RCB were at 61/0 in 3.4 overs before Salt’s dismissal, but after the Englishman departed, things completely changed. After dismissal, the runs on board slowed, and RCB’s innings were put to a halt by Axar Patel team disciplined bowlers.
