Virat Kohli Heartbeat IPL 2025

The IPL fixture between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru became a moment of concern as Virat Kohli was seen asking Sanju Samson to check his heartbeat. Midway during the match, Kohli who is known for his fitness was seen struggling to breathe and was in discomfort due to heat at the Jaipur stadium.

Chasing the 174, RCB star played an impressive knock of 62 off 45  balls and helped his team to win the match by 9 wickets continuing their home away winning streak. The chase seemed easy with Kohli and Phil’s innings but heat in Jaipur made Kohli struggle as he struggled to breathe during the run chase.

“Heartbeat check karna”, Kohli asks Samson

The concerning event unfolded in the 15th over, when Kohli ran for back-to-back runs on a Wanindu Hasaranga delivery. He scored runs, but the heat in the stadium took a toll on his health, forcing the batter to pause the game to catch his breath and ask his opponent team captain, Sanju Samson, to check his heartbeat. On the stump mic, Kohli was heard saying, “Heartbeat check karna. (Check my heartbeat).” To this, the Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper replied, “Theek hai. (It’s okay).”

As the over completed, RCB decided to take a strategic time out to catch their breath and help the batters recover in heated conditions.

During the break, the RCB medical team quickly came onto the field and helped Kohli. He looked tired and uncomfortable due to the heat, so the physios gave him water and helped him cool down. After rehydrating, Kohli came back looking calm and focused. He stayed till the end, scoring an unbeaten 62 off 45 balls, and helped RCB win the match easily with 15 balls left and only one wicket lost.
