Jasprit Bumrah to return to Mumbai Indians against Delhi Capitals IPL 2025 clash

Indian Speedster is set to return to the Mumbai Indians and has finally gotten the clearance from the Centre of Excellence. Bumrah is expected to join the MI Squad in a day or two and can be seen in action in their next clash. Bumrah has been sidelined from the cricket scene due to a back injury he sustained during the fifth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Sydney this January.

In recent developments around his recovery, Bumrah has given fitness clearance and will join the squad in a day or two. Joining the team, he would bring on momentum to his team, who are currently struggling with form and are on a losing streak. As per reports of Sports Today, sister channel of India Today, “ star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been given the go-ahead by the Centre of Excellence (COE) to rejoin Mumbai Indians. The Indian pacer is likely to join the MI setup in the next two days.

Bumrah’s performance to boost MI’s Innings

Bumhrah has already missed important clashes of Mumbai Indians and has missed the team’s first four matches. And as per the reports, Bumrah will make his comeback in the Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals clash, which is scheduled to take place on April 13 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The speedster will miss MI’s upcoming clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which will take place on April 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

Before being injured, Bumrah delivered stellar performances and was an instrumental player of Men In Blue and was the highest wicket-taker in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with a remarkable 32 wickets. He was also awarded with ICC Cricketer of the Year award and ICC Test Cricketer of The Year awards.

Mumbai Indians IPL 2025 Campaign

Mumbai Indians are yet to find the rhythm and are consistently losing out. They have played a total of four matches so far in this group stage and have lost three of them. As of now, the five-time winners are seventh in the standings as their NRR reads +0.108. They are set to host Royal Challengers Bengaluru before traveling to Delhi to face DC, where they are set to be joined by Bumrah.
