Announcing the squads for the match, Chennai Super Kings made two big changes to their Playing XI. They went with new Signee, Dewald Brewis, in place of Rachin Ravindra, and Deepak Hooda in place of Vijay Shankar. Besides this, Sam Curran has also been provided a chance in the playing XI, replacing Jamie Overton. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad chose Mohammed Shami and Kamindu Mendis in their playing XI tonight.
Why was Rachinn Ravindra dropped in CSK vs SRH?
Rachin Ravindra was dropped from the playing XI against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 43 of the ongoing IPL 2025. CSK chose Dewald Brewis in place of Rachin. Struggling with form, Rachin was dropped today and has been given rest for the match. Rachin has played as a opener for CSK but has failed to make any impact this season. Playing with a lowest strike rate of all season, Chennai management opted to change the regular strategy and chose to inject some young energy in the top order replacing Rachin with Dewald.
