Gujarat Titans’s openers continued their top form by scoring half-centuries against Lucknow Super Giants in match no. 26 of the IPL 2025 at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. Captain Shubman Gill scored 60, while Sai Sudharsan smashed 56 runs to take the Orange Cap back.

The openers of the Gujarat Titans gave them an amazing start against the home team, the Lucknow Super Giants. Gill scored 60 runs off 38 balls, including 6 fours and 1 six, before getting out to Avesh Khan while trying to hit a six over long on. Sai Shudharsan once again showed his class with 56 runs off 37 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six. Thanks to their fifties, GT put up a total of 180 in 20 overs.

Rishabh Pant, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, won the toss and elected to bowl against Shubman Gill’s table-topper Gujarat Titans in the 26th match of the IPL 2025. Pant revealed that Mitchell Marsh is not playing as his daughter is unwell, and he is taking care of her. Himmat Singh replaced the Aussie batter in this match, while the Gujarat Titans added Washington Sundar in the starting XI.

While batting first, GT’s opener gave them a flying start, with both scoring half-centuries. Gill scored 60 off 38 balls, while Sudharsan smashed 56 off 37 balls. However, once the opening partnership broke, GT’s middle order was unable to pick up the momentum again in the game and managed to put up only 180 in 20 overs, even after a flying start by the openers. Shardul Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets each, while Digvesh Rathi and Avesh Khan got 1 each.
