Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) dominates Mumbai Indians (MI) bowlers in the first powerplay of one of the highly anticipated matches of the IPL 2025 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. RCB smashes 73 runs with the loss of 1 wicket in the first six overs. Notably, this is the highest powerplay score of RCB against MI in the history of IPL.

RCB dominates MI in the powerplay at Wankhede

Trent Boult gave an amazing start with the wicket of Phil Salt on the second ball of the inning on 4 runs. However, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal take MI bowlers on smashing boundaries all over the parks, scoring 73 runs in the first six overs with the loss of Phil Salt’s wicket. Kohli scores 36 runs off 19 balls, and Padikkal smashes 32 off 15 balls.

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 20th game of the IPL 2025 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Hardik announced the return of Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma, while RCB went with the same squad.

Phil Salt and Virat Kohli come to open the inning for RCB. However, Trent Boult gave the home team a great start with the wicket of Salt on the second ball of the inning, but later, Kohli and new batter Devdutt Padikkal showcased the counterpunch with amazing hitting. At the end of the power play, RCB smashed 73 runs with the loss of 1 wicket.
