The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to kick off from 22 March 2025 and will go for two months, concluding on 25 May 2025. The tournament will feature a total of 10 teams for the season which will face each other in home and home away matches format. This season will have a total of 74 matches which will go over 65 days and will be played on 13 IPL venues around the country.
The opening match is scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata where the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, is facing the Royal Challenger Bengaluru in the season’s opener match on March 22, 2025.
