Replying to the anchor’s question about the most ridiculous rumor, Dhoni laughing made a hilarious revelation and said that, “I drink five litres of milk a day”. Even the anchor was taken aback to find out it was just a rumour, before Dhoni cleared things up, saying it’s not realistic for a normal person to drink five litres of milk every day.
“I used to drink, maybe, a litre of milk spread throughout the day. But four litres – it’s a bit too much for anyone,” he added.

Dhoni also laughed off another rumour – that the CSK star used to make lassi in a washing machine. Notably, Dhoni had addressed the milk rumour as early as 2005 in an interview with ESPNcricinfo.
It was widely speculated in his early career that the secret to MS Dhoni’s energy was his diet which supposedly had five litres of milk per day. Rumours circulated around his diet and it was believed that the player had five litres of milk and lassi to keep his fitness and energy.
Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings IPL 2025
Talking about CSK form and performance this season, Dhoni dropped big plans for the franchise and revealed the team’s plans for next year.
“Those are the question marks we have got, few catches and that will help. Other than that we are just trying to plug in the holes, with all the games that are in front of us that we are supposed to win, we just take it one game at a time and if we lose a few, what will be important for us is to get the right combination for next year. You don’t want too many players getting changed, what will be important is to try and qualify, but if not get a secured 11 for next year and come back strong,” Dhoni had said during the post-match presentation.
Losing six of their first eight matches, CSK is struggling to find consistency this season, and their playoff qualifications are hanging by a thread. With six matches remaining for this season, CSK will need to win all of the upcoming matches to stay in contention of IPL 2025 playoff.
