India U-19 Cricket Team Set for England Tour This Summer as World Cup Prep Begins

This year, it’s not just India men’s senior team touring England for Tests series, India A and India U19 squads will also tour England. As per reports in the TOI, the India U19 will play five one-dayers matches and two Tests against the host country. The squad is likely to be led by Ayush Mhatre and can have other youngsters, including Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who are currently part of the ongoing IPL 2025.

Confirming the development, a source in the BCCI told TOI, “The India Under-19 boys will tour England this summer. The team will reach the UK on June 21.” Incidentally, the Indian women’s team (three WODIs and five WT20Is) and the Indian mixed disability teams will be touring England (for a seven-match T20I series) this summer.

The tour will help the Indian team to prepare for the upcoming U-19 World Cup which is scheduled to take place in Zimbabwe and Namibia next year. The U-19 Squad last played in December in the Asia Cup in UAE in 2024 and ended up losing the final to Bangladesh. The Under 19 World Cup will be played in early January 2026 and will be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia.

• 3rd ODI: July 2, Northampton
• 4th ODI: July 5, Worcester
• 5th ODI: July 7, Worcester

Tests:

• 1st Test: 12-15 July
• 2nd Test: July 20-23, Chelmsford
