ICC reacts to KL Rahul receiving White Jacket while Wearing Pads following CT Win

India defeated New Zealand in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday, 9 March 2025, by 4 wickets. The team remained unbeatable for the whole of the season, and that’s not the only reason to remember the team; there are many, and one amongst those is KL Rahul.

KL Rahul has been commendable for the whole of the season and now and proved his worth for the team, providing it the needed stable Middle order. But in a recent viral Internet video, a player is seen to have a brain fade moment where he forgot to remove his pads while collecting jacket post win which resulted in the entire team laughing at him.

ICC has officially released this moment on their Instagram and captioned it as, “KL Rahul really is fully padded for every occasion for India 😂”

Watch: KL Rahul’s forgetfulness moment that wrecked laughter

After the champions trophy win, the team was happily rejoicing the winning moment, they shared hugs and laughter all together. Amidst all the celebrations, KL Rahul was caught on camera wearing his batting pads when he went to collect the winning medal on the podium. When his other teammates noticed him along with Virat Kohli, they couldn’t stop laughing. Seeing all his teammates laughing at him, KL realised his mistakes, and the first thing he did was to remove those and get away with the awkward moment.  

KL Rahul received a huge welcome after returning home

After the title win, KL Rahul is back in Mumbai and now will be moving for IPL preparations. When Rahul landed at the airport he received a huge welcome as his fans gathered to see and catch a glimpse of  the wicketkeeper. In response to all this love and gesture, Rahul showed warm gestures towards all of the fans and had some pictures with the fans. This gesture and earlier forgetfulness video has now gone viral and made all of his fans happy.
