MS Dhoni is all set to play in the 18th Edition of the IPL which is going to be his 18th edition of the IPL and 25th year in cricket. Started as a  Ranji player he has featured in multiple International Matches and national matches. After retirement from national cricket and all formats he continues to play in the IPL. After his previous IPL season, MS Dhoni is joining the upcoming season 18th edition at the age of 43.

Talking about MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh made a shocking revelation about the player and revealed the reason for his fitness at the age of 43 and his rigorous training regime at this age. Speaking on ESPNcricinfo, Harbhajan recalled a conversation with MS Dhoni at a friend’s wedding about how he maintains his fitness even at 43 and how he meets the demands of the tournament as he is set to return again for the 2025 season.

As long as you have hunger, You can do it: MS Dhoni

After IPL 2024, the speculation around Dhoni’s career was at its peak and fans were eager to see his status in the IPL. Amidst growing concerns about his age, the player has surprised and shocked everyone who ever doubted his fitness looking at his age numbers. His exceptional fitness remains the main reason for his career and his IPL comeback. Speaking about his fitness, his former teammate Harbhajan Singh expressed his amazement and told ESPNcricinfo how the star cricketer maintains such an outstanding level of fitness and Physical conditioning.

I just met him recently at one of our friend’s daughter’s weddings. He looked very fit, solid. I asked him, ‘What you are doing at this age, isn’t it tough?’ He said, ‘Yes, it’s difficult, but this is the only thing I like doing. I find joy in it. I want to do it, go out and play.’” he said.

“As long as the hunger is there, you will be able to do it. It’s hard without playing any cricket (throughout the year). He is showing how it’s done. He must be doing something better than the others. He is not just surviving, he is dominating all the bowlers.” he added

At the age of 43 he is still making waves on the field and is continuously practicing around 2-3 hours a day in net practice sessions for the IPL 2025.
