The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is scheduled to take place from 30 September to 2 November 2025. Organised and administered by the International Cricket Council, this tournament will feature eight of the best women’s teams from around the world competing on Indian and Sri Lankan grounds. The opening match will see hosts India face Sri Lanka in Bengaluru, and the tournament will include thrilling contests such as the India vs Pakistan match set for October 5 in Colombo. The competition will follow a round robin format where each team will play against the other teams at least once. After the group stage, the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, which are scheduled for October 29 and 30. The grand finale will be held on November 2, either in Bengaluru or Colombo, depending on whether Pakistan qualifies for the final.

Women’s ODI World Cup, 2025:Teams and Captains
A total of eight teams will be participating in the 2025 women’s ODI World Cup, including India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Each team will be led by some of the most skilled and experienced captains in women’s cricket. For example, India will be captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, while Alyssa Healy will lead Australia, Heather Knight will captain England, and Sophie Devine will lead the Kiwis. Venue of Women’s ODI World Cup, 2025
The Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 will be played across two nations at different venues in India and Sri Lanka. Most of the matches, including the league stage and semi-finals, will take place in India and will be played at five different venues. The indian venues include M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Assam Cricket Association Stadium, Holkar Stadium, Indore, and ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka will host all Pakistan matches and probably the finals if it’s played between India and Pakistan. However, as per the latest development around the M Chinnaswamy venue, all its matches will be shifted to new venues as KSCA has failed to get clearance from the government after the stampede incident occurred earlier.
