The Champions trophy is back after a hiatus of eight years in 2025. This CT addition will be hosted on the ground of Pakistan Land for the first and a hybrid model is also adopted for the Men in Blue team, with their matches fixed on Dubai International Ground.
Winning the semi final 1 match against Australia, India has qualified to play final of the tournament and now are about to enter the Final as second finalist after the semi final 2 match. After winning, both the teams will go in a head to head battle at the Dubai International Cricket for the Final of the Champions Trophy. The winner of the tournament will be awarded a winning amount of $2.24mn, and the runner-ups of the season will go back to their home with a cheque of $1.12mn.
The ICC Champions Trophy will be held every four years, featuring the world’s top eight ODI teams, while the Women’s Champions Trophy will debut in 2027 in a T20 format.
Champions Trophy 2025 Prize Money
Every match of the champions trophy counts to a certain amount; thereby, no participating team will go home empty-handed this year. Meaning there is something for everyone in the Champions Trophy 2025. The winner of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be awarded a Grand amount of $2.24 million (USD), making it a Grand Winner prize money for any team to win. The total prize pool has increased by an impressive 53 percent from the 2017 edition, reaching $6.9 million.
Prize money for each match:
A total of eight teams have participated in this season in a group of two, with four teams in each. At the Champions Trophy, every match will matter as each group stage win provides teams with a match winning amount. Each match will provide a winning amount of $34,000 for the victorious team.
Semi finalist winner prize money
Each of the four Champions Trophy semi-finalists will receive $560,000. Only the teams that lose the knockout matches will get the semi-final prize money. Teams that finished fifth or sixth will each earn $350,000 while the seventh and eighth-placed sides take home $140,000.
Prize money for each participating team
Each participating team will be awarded an amount for their participation. All eight teams will receive a guaranteed $125,000 each for participating at the event, making it a win-win for every team.
Runner-ups Prize Money
The runners of the champions trophy will go without a trophy for sure but won’t go without a fair remuneration amount. The runner up for this season will be awarded with an amount of $1.12 million.
