List of 5 players who are playing their last Champions Trophy

ROHIT SHARMA

Rohit sharma is one of the players with the most potential who is playing his last season. Aged 37, He might announce his retirement after the final of this Champions Trophy. With his growing age and slumpy form from the last few months and series, he might call it a day. Rohit retired from the T20 format cricket last year after winning the T20 World Cup, so this could be another chance for the player to win and give the winning trophy to his fans before he bids adieu.

KANE WILLIAMSON

The Kiwi player, who has shown dominant form throughout his career and especially during the knockout match against South Africa, could also possibly retire after the IND vs NZ final. The player is already 33 years old, and to continue playing, he would need great form and massive performances. Citing his age and waiting for a big tournament ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup, he might decide to retire and discontinue playing the ODI Cricket Format.

VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli, a man of vintage and stellar performance when the team needed him the most, can be among the top 5 players who are playing their last Champions Trophy. His farewell to the game is the most heartbreaking for the Indian and global fans as he is full of character that puts emotions on the field. Although the player keeps fitness as his priority, his growing age doesn’t check in for fitness, citing the younger talent, personal life balance, and age. Kohli could retire after the Champions Trophy.

Kohli’s retirement could come early if India wins the Champions Trophy this year. The last T20 retirement came from his side after the win of the World Cup 2024. So, winning here would make the job done for him, and he can leave the team on a high note.

GLEN MAXWELL

One of the aggressive batters of his era, this hard hitter can also decide to step down from the format. The middle order batsman has been a game changer for the Australian side and brought his best performance against Afghanistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 where he scored 201 runs in just 128 balls even being injured.

However despite this explosive batting performance, Maxwell has been out of form in the ODIs and have been struggling across the different home-away series. With his current poor Champions trophy form, this could be his last appearance before he announces his retirement from the format.

RAVINDRA JADEJA

Sir Jadeja has always been the player to save team India from the struggling last over spells and high pressure conditions. This player has shown great impressive performances at every aspect of the game, be it batting, bowling or fielding. He is still in the top ranks of the ODI players. Turning 39 around the upcoming big tournament, World Cup 2027, our favorite star will be aging golden and might call this season his last one.
