The Indian Premier League is set to resume from 17 May 2025 after a one-week suspension due to India-Pakistan border tensions. The league will resume with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. And ahead of the most thrilling and important clash, RCB has received a massive boost as their English Stars have returned to India for the second phase of the IPL 2025.

Royal Challengers Franchise has posted about the arrival of the overseas players, including Jacob Bethell, Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, and Lungi Ngidi. Where franchises are sweating hard to recall their overseas players, RCB has managed to recall its key overseas players. The four have joined the squad ahead of the RCB vs KKR match and will be seen in the Red Jersey soon.

RCB strengthens squad as IPL 2025 set to resume

While teams are struggling to fill the shoes of the overseas players who have refused to return, RCB is ready with a boost to bring out another fiery performance in the upcoming match against KKR. With the English players returning to the squad, Jacob Bethell is expected to feature in RCB’s next two matches, but he will run back to England before the final group stage game in Lucknow, as he is required to report to Birmingham for the upcoming ODI at Edgbaston. Meanwhile, Phil Salt will be available for the rest of the season along with Liam Livingstone, Tim David, and Nuwan Thusahara for the complete second phase of the IPL.

“𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐳 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲’𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤! 🔥. After those jaw-dropping teasers, it’s time for the full blockbuster show!

Josh Hazlewood still in doubt for IPL 2025

While most of the overseas players have returned to the team, Josh Hazlewood’s return to the team still is in doubt. Hazlewood has been performing great for the team and was the season’s leading wicket-taker until he missed a match against CSK due to injury, followed by a league suspension. However, the return of the player remains uncertain. RCB would want all their remaining players to rejoin the squad as they look most balanced together.
