BCCI announces central contract for 2024-25: No Change in A+ Category, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan Return

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Annual Player Contracts for Team India (Senior Men) for the 2024-25 season (October 1st, 2024, to September 30th, 2025). Despite saying goodbye to the one format (T20I) of the game, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja retain the A+ category, while Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer got the back central contracts. Despite leaving one format of the game, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja retain the A+ category in the BCCI central contract for 2024-25 along with Jasprit Bumrah. So there is no change in the highest category. Players like Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan make their comeback to the central contracts list, with Shreyas placed in Grade B and Ishan in Grade C.
Rishabh Pant also gets a promotion to Grade A. This category features five other players, including Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Shami.
