Ashleigh Gardner, the Australian Batter, has announced her Marriage. After dating her long-term girlfriend Monica Wright, she tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on April 6, which was attended by many of her teammates and close friends. Although many details of the wedding remain private, the all-rounder shared the news with her fans through an Instagram post.

Known for aggressive batting, sharp off-spin and dynamic presence on the field, Ashleigh Gardner’s wedding adds a beautiful personal milestone to her already decorated professional career. Soon after the wedding, Gardner shared a snippet of the wedding on her social media, which drew thousands of reactions and congratulatory messages from fans and fellow cricketers.

The all-rounder star has now stepped into a new chapter of her life and tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony right before her 28th birthday. The duo has been engaged for over a year now and has shared their glimpses on social media, announcing their engagement. Taking a step further now, the duo has tied the knot and shared the news of the wedding on her social media account with a caption, “Mrs & Mrs Gardner.”

Although the duo got married in a very private yet intimate ceremony but was attended by her teammates and other popular stars of Australian cricket including, Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry, Kim Garth, and Elyse Villani. Although much details about the ceremony remains private as Ashleigh Gardner hasn’t shared all the details of the ceremony yet, the few glimpses online show it was a lovely and emotional event, simple yet special.

Known for fierce all-arounder abilities, Asleigh was appointed captain of Gujarat Giants in the WPL 2025 season. After finishing at the bottom of the table in the year 2023 and 2023, the team was given a fresh start under Gardner’s leadership. This year, the team made it to the Eliminator stage under Gardner’s leadership but lost their Eliminator match to the Mumbai Indians squad led by Harmanpreet Kaur.

Gardner’s career is one that most cricketers would dream of. Making her debut in February 2017, she has since played:

  • 77 One-Day Internationals (ODIs)
  • 96 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is)

Across formats, she has scored over 3,000 runs and taken 207 wickets. Her ability to perform with bat and ball makes her special and has made her a permanent member of the Australian Setup. She not only played but also helped her team win in multiple formats including, T20 World cups in 2018, 2020, and 2023 and an ODI World Cup in 2022.
