Zimbabwe has announced its squad for the upcoming two-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, scheduled to be played on August 29 and 31 at the Harare Sports Club. Craig Ervine will lead the side, which features a mix of experienced and young promising batters. The big highlight of this is the return of veteran wicketkeeper-batter Brendan Taylor, who recently came back to international cricket after serving a ban. Taylor adds strength and experience to Zimbabwe’s batting line-up and will play an important role in both ODIs.
Other key players in the squad include Sikandar Raza and Sean William, who are expected to stabilize the middle order. The pace department will be led by Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava, while the squad also includes newcomers Clive Mandande, Tony Munyonga, Brad Evans, and uncapped seamer Ernest Masuku. Zimbabwe selectors have emphasized that the squad is balanced, with experienced young talent, giving the team the best chance to compete strongly against Sri Lanka in this short series.
