India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has officially been released from the Test squad ahead of the Day 2 of the fifth and final match against England at The Oval. with workload management in focus, the BCCI confirmed that Bumrah who played three out of the four previous Tests in the Anderson Tendulkar Trophy, would not feature in the series decider. His absence, though expected, would reshape India’s bowling dynamics as they aim to level the series at 2-2 now. Bumrah’s release comes at a very crucial moment; India will now be looking for the others to make an impact.
