England star Jos Buttler added another major achievement to his T20 career on Wednesday, becoming only the seventh player in history to score 13,000 runs in T20 Cricket. The landmark came during the Lancashire Vitality T20 Blast 2025 match against Yorkshire at Headingley, where Buttler delivered a masterclass, scoring 174 runs.
Buttler, while opening the innings, smashed 77 runs off 46 balls, taking Lancashire’s total to 174. His knock included a mix of calculated aggression and his signature stroke play, providing his team the momentum they needed in the high-pressure game of the North Group. With the help of his knock, Lancashire went on to win by 21 runs and sealed a place at the top of the standings, making it to the quarter-finals of the season.
With his innings, Jos took his T20 Career tally to 13,046 runs in a total of 457 matches and 431 innings at an average of 35.74, including 8 centuries and 93 fifties. Scoring this, he has now joined the elite club of players with the likes of Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Shoaib Nalik, Virat Kohli, and David Warner.
