The Delhi Premier League is back for its second season in 2025 and it promises to be even bigger and better than the inaugural season this year. After a successful first edition that showcased new talent and excited fan engagement, the league organisers have decided to expand the DPL 2025 Men’s series from six to eight men’s teams, including Outer Delhi and New Delhi, while the women’s tournament will continue with four teams only.
The Men’s auction is scheduled for July 6 in New Delhi, followed by the women’s auction on July 7. Both auctions will be crucial in shaping the new squads as each franchise has been allowed to retain just one player from their 2024 squads. This decision will open an opportunity door for fresh faces and unexpected picks, giving each team a fair shot at building their strong squads for the 2025 season.
