Bidding War at IPL Mega Auction 2024
When the star appeared at the mega auction, franchises were in a wartime situation to take him in their franchise. CSK won an intense bidding war against the Rajasthan Royals to bring R Ashwin back. They started bidding at his base price of ₹2 crore, facing competition from LSG and RCB. Rajasthan Royals joined later, matching CSK repeatedly. Ultimately, the battle was won by CSK, who bought the star for ₹9.75 crore.
