The Major League Cricket is a professional T20 cricket competition based in the United States and operated by American enterprises. Introduced in the year 2023, this competition features different regional teams that compete in the round robin format, followed by playoffs. Set to return from June 12 to July 13, the upcoming edition will mark the third edition of the league. Branded as Cognizant Major League Cricket, the league features a total of six teams that will fight in the league stage first, and then the top four will move to the playoffs based on the rankings of the points table.
This year’s schedule includes a total of 34 matches, based on the expansion of the league so that fans and the league can get more attention and viewership throughout the globe. With this aim the tournament was also earlier postponed to avoid any conflicts with the other major cricket leagues.

With a month of battles between the teams, only four teams will make it to the playoffs of the season. Based on their performance, the teams on the points table are arranged as per their performance in the league stage matches. The teams’ performance in the standings would be measured as of their points, number of matches played, wins, and losses. As the league stage concludes, the attention will shift towards the playoffs. The top four teams will try their luck to win the trophy.

Qualifier 1 will see the top two teams fight for a final spot, while the next two teams will try to secure a Qualifier 2 spot. Qualifier 2 will pit the Eliminator winner and Qualifier 1 loser against each other to decide the other finalist. The MLC 2025 will conclude on July13.
