England announced their ODI and T20I Squads for the series against West Indies on Tuesday, 13 May, bringing back some familiar faces to the white ball setup. Will Jack’s who last featured in the white ball series against the West Indies in November 2024 has been recalled alongside fast bowler Matthew Potts, who played in the ODI squad against Australia and T20I against New Zealand last year.
After hosting Zimbabwe, England will now contest three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20I’s against the West Indies. This series will mark Harry Brook’s first captaincy assignment for England and will begin on Wednesday, 29 May at Edgbaston. The squad also sees a revamp following England’s disappointing Champions Trophy 2025 campaign, where they lost all three games in the group stage, thereby resulting in Jos Buttler stepping down from his role as the white-ball skipper.
Liam Livingstone has been left out of both white-ball squads for the series, while all-rounder Liam Dawson has earned a recall to the T20I setup for the first time since September 2022, but will only feature in the T20Is. The experienced left-arm spinner will be aiming to add to his 11 appearances in the format.
Phil Salt and Luke Wood also return to the T20I squad, while Will Jacks makes a comeback into both squads. Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Tom Hartley, Joe Root, and Jamie Smith, who are part of the 50-over squad, will make way for Rehan Ahmed, Liam Dawson, Salt, and Luke Wood in the T20I squad.
