Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill, GT’s skipper and man of his emotions was seen in disappointment when gujarat fielders dropped back-to-back catches of the Mumbai Indians batters including Suryakumar Yadav and Will Jacks in the powerplay itself. Gill who generally stays quite calm and composed in different situations, but today he couldn’t hold himself and was seen quite frustrated on field with the poor fielding from the team members.

Facing Mumbai Indians at iconic Wankhede Stadium, Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to field first asking MI to bat first. Opening for Mumbai Rohit and Ryan Rickelton came on the crease.

Watch the reaction here:

GT had a rough start in the field in the powerplay overs, missing the crucial chances. Sai Sudharsan did make an impact and did take a catch to remove Ryan but then soon dropped a simple one that gave Will Jacks a chance to flourish his innings. Not long after, R Sai Kishroe made another costly error, allowing SKY a lifeline. The fielding troubles didn’t just stop there, following this, Mohammed Siraj then let go an easy catch. These continuous missed chances, left GT skipper Shubman Gill frustrated. With the missed chances, both Jacks and Suryakumar Yadav made the most of their second lives and put MI in a strong position.
