Shreyas Iyer’s sister Shresta has hit back at trolls after the recent Punjab Kings loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 37 of the ongoing IPL 2025.

Sharing an Instagram story, Shresta gave a quick reply to all the trolls who trolled her for the Punjab Kings’ defeat. She posted a long story on her Instagram handle and mentioned the narrow mindset of the fans and people who go after players’ families after a post-match defeat and poor performances. She pointed out that it’s totally unfair and unjust to target families in such an indecent manner.

“I am, and always will be, a proud and positive supporter of my brother.”

After the recent defeat of the Punjab Kings at their home ground, Shresta received a lot of hate and trolls for supporting his brother and team. She became the target of countless faceless online trolls and was subjected to hate comments.

After facing insensitive and disrespectful comments, she stood strong and gave a befitting reply to all those trolls with a long Instagram story and also mentioned that she would never stop supporting his brother and will always be there with him.

“It’s honestly disappointing to see people stoop so low as to blame the family for simply showing up to support. Whether we’re physically present or cheering from afar, our support for the team is unwavering. To those pointing fingers at me, your shallow mindset is not only laughable, it’s embarrassing. I’ve been there for countless matches, India’s and others and most of them ended in victory. But I guess when you’re busy trolling from behind a screen, facts don’t matter,” wrote Shresta on her Instagram story.

Adding more, she said that all such negative comments, trolls and hate would not stop her from supporting his brother and his team.

“I am, and always will be, a proud and positive supporter of my brother and his team. Your baseless criticism doesn’t shake me, it just shows your ignorance. Win or lose, I’ll be right there supporting them, because that’s what real support looks like. Today just wasn’t their day. But losses are a part of the game, something you’d know if you had ever done more than type out hate online. So next time, think twice before coming for someone, who’s actually doing what you can’t…Showing up,”

At present PBKS after the recent loss against RCB, are sitting at fourth in the IPL 2025 points table. PBKS have five wins against three losses in a total of eight matches. Meanwhile, RCB are strongly placed at third spot in the standing with 10 points.
