Nitish Kumar Reddy Trolled for Slow Knock Against GT in IPL 2025

Sunrisers Hyderabad once again struggled against Gujarat Titans and were restricted to just 152 on their home ground. In the 19th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League, Sunrisers, who had previously made a roaring entry into the tournament, found themselves in deep trouble once again. Their batting order collapsed: top-order batters were dismissed early, the Middle order failed to provide stability, and then the team was eventually restricted to a total of 152 runs in their innings.

After winning the toss, Gujarat Giants opted to bowl first, putting Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opened the innings for SRH, but the GT bowlers struck early, dismissing both batters during the powerplay. Following the early dismissals, Ishan Kishan and Nitish Reddy came to the crease in an attempt to steady the innings. The pair built a brief partnership of 48 runs before Ishan Kishan was dismissed.

Although Nitish was the top scorer for Hyderabad tonight with 31 runs off 34 balls, his slower strike rate drew criticism from fans on social media with many trolling and comparing him with Virat Kohli for the slower pace.

Nitish who walked on crease with intent to build a stable innings did try but quite didn’t make an impact. He added a contribution of 31 runs to the team’s total but the slower pace made more impact than his innings. Reacting on his slow knock, fans went berserk and trolled him for his slow innings. Memes not just trolled him but also compared his innings with Virat Kohli and called him out for being a Virat Kohli fan.
