KL Rahul, who missed the first match of the IPL 2025 due to the birth of his child, has now joined the Delhi Capitals camp and is set to make his debut for the franchise against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 30 March at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

KL Rahul, who was bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 14 crore in the IPL 2025 mega-auction, missed the first game against LSG as he was unavailable due to the birth of his child. Now Delhi Capitals has posted an amazing video of KL Rahul joining the DC camps for IPL 2025.

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty Blessed with a Baby Girl

KL Rahul, and his wife Athiya Shetty, an Indian actress, welcomed their baby girl on 24 March 2025. The couple announced the news via social media post writing, “Blessed with a Baby Girl”. Notably, KL Rahul missed the DC’s first match on the same day to welcome his first child. The couple tied the knot in 2023 at Sunil Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse, and their wedding was a private event.

KL Rahul set to debut for Delhi Capitals on 30 March 

As KL Rahul has now joined the DC camp, the batter will straight walk into the playing XI of DC. He is expected to replace Abishek Porel in the starting XI and might open the inning as well with Jake Fraser McGurk.

DC vs SRH, the match number 10 of the IPL 2025, on March 30 at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. DC defeated LSG in their first game of the season by 1 wicket, while SRH lost their last match to LSG by 5 wickets.

Delhi Capitals won their first match of the season against Lucknow Super Giants by 1 wicket, thanks to outstanding performances from Vipraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma with the bat. Both chased down a big total of 209 after the collapse of the top order. Kuldeep Yadav bowled amazingly well in the match.

After dominating the Rajasthan Royals in the first game, the Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their last match to Lucknow Super Gianst after winning the first game against Rajasthan Royals. The batting unit managed to put up a total of 190 in the first inning after some early wickets. However, the bowling unit of the team struggled a lot against LSG batters.
