He broke silence on all of his retirement speculations saying that neither he nor the franchise is ready to bid adieu to each other any time soon.
MS Dhoni who has been preparing for the IPL is set to face the most anticipated clash of the CSK against MI. The match is set to be played at the M A Chidambaram Stadium on March 23. Before starting the season the legend has finally opened up about his retirement and has shared his feelings that he tends to play for longer duration till he likes.
Not Retiring any time soon: MS Dhoni
“I can play for as long as I want for CSK. That’s my franchise. Even if I’m in a wheelchair, they’ll drag me,” he said while speaking to JioHotstar.
With his statement, he has put an end to all the retirement rumors around him and made clear that he will be playing for as long as he wants. He shared his feelings for the franchise and said that neither he nor the franchise is set to go off each other and are looking to have one another for a longer period.
Dhoni, playing at 43, is on the brink of breaking a new record and becoming the highest run scorer for the franchise in IPL History. Dhoni earlier this month waived a lot of attention when he was spotted with a T-Shirt saying “One Last Time” in Morse code igniting speculations around his retirement post this season. However now after speaking at the event, Dhoni is set to play as long as he wants and one day will announce his retirement when no one could have expected, till then enjoy his innings.
