Mayank Yadav, the young pace sensation of India, is set to miss the first half of the IPL 2025 due to a back injury. Lucknow Super Giants retained the 22-year-old for INR 11 crore for the upcoming season. According to ESPNcricinfo, Mayank is still recovering from a lumbar stress injury and has just started to bowl at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
As of now, there is no confirmed date given by the BCCI of his availability for the upcoming IPL season. However, if he clears all fitness tests and increases his bowling workload, he might play in the second half of the IPL.
