India vs Australia, the 1st semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to be played on Tuesday. According to Cricbuzz, the fresh pitch will be used for the highly anticipated clash at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Notably, India has played all three of their league games at the same venue but on different pitches. For the semi-final, they will once again play on a fresh pitch prepared by the ICC. Check out the India vs Australia semi-final pitch report and other details below.
India played their league matches against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand on different pitches. However, those surfaces were also used during the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025. That might be the big reason for the slow nature of the pitch during the India vs New Zealand match.
India vs Australia Semi Final Pitch Report
Reported by Cricbuzz, ICC has prepared a fresh pitch in Dubai for the 1st Semi Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between India and Australia. However, in the first three matches, the Dubai pitch favors spinners a lot.
Australia captain Steven Smith mentioned that the pitch looks dry and could assist spinners, similar to the group-stage matches.
Smith said, “Obviously the whole square block is pretty dry. Having spoken to the groundsman just now, a dry surface had a lot of traffic, so we’ve seen how the wickets have played”
According to the Australian captain, while the pitch in Dubai is fresh, it is likely to favor spinners and slow down as the match goes on.
